But spring 2022 feels different. We’ve weathered the Covid storm and we find ourselves in a new, dynamic period of fashion. Perhaps your style, like many others’, has changed over the last two years. We asked our stylists and fashion experts to share the items they can’t live without this spring. The themes were color, updated denim, and cutouts. Here’s what Nicole Miller experts Jillian, Mary and Zara had to say about styling their favorite trends.

For anyone who knows Mary, black is predominant in her closet. It's chic, neutral, flattering and an easy go-to. This season, believe it or not, Mary is embracing an amazing rainbow of colors in the spring collections. The past two years have been exciting and challenging. Color brings a feeling of new beginnings, positive energy and reminds us why fashion is so much fun. Mary loves anything coral or bright orange, especially the fearless floral print from Nicole’s Spring 2022 Collection. Jillian, like Mary, is a lover of the classics and neutrals, but she also isn’t afraid of surprising detail. That’s why her favorite spring trend is updated and reimagined denim styles. There are tons of ways designers are enhancing jeans, from exaggerated shapes and fits to unusual washes and inseams. For Nicole’s Spring 2022 Collection, it was in with the new and out with the blue. She created three denim looks that are funky twists on classic styles that also capitalized on the color trend.
As one of the most relied upon styles in your wardrobe, investing in denim means investing in your era defining pieces. The ivory contrast denim jacket is the perfect piece to commemorate the end of an era and the rebirth of a new one, making it Jillian’s pick for Spring 2022.
They’ve dominated the catwalks in Paris, New York and Milan and now cutouts have made their way to Manayunk. Cutouts are strategically placed to enhance a silhouette or make a garment more interesting. Zara is embracing cutouts as surprising details on simple garments, like the Solid Silk Cut Out Maxi.
Even though they’re a throwback style, cutouts have resonated with Zara’s generation as a nod to Y2K fashion trends.
